Arsenal
have been on alert as Barcelona have put a €21million price tag on their
attacker Pedro, as per Daily Mirror.
Arsenal
have been in strong links with Barcelona for Pedro over the past few months, however, they
were not in mood to sell him but now they have slammed €21million (£15million) tag on their
Spanish star.
Arsenal
will have to fight Liverpool to secure his deal as the Reds manager Brendan
Rodgers is keen to bolster his squad for next season,
Pedro
will surely be eyeing a Champions League club and if Liverpool fail to qualify
this season then he would definitely cut them out of the list.
The
27-year-old has fallen out of favour this season after the arrival of Luis
Suarez from Liverpool last summer. He has started on 12 La Liga games so far
this term. Barca
don’t need Pedro as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar are enough to take
them to a desired level.
The
Spanish attacker who has won Champions League and La Liga tiles is also keen to
look for a new challenge after frustrating times on the bench.
Pedro
is currently spending his eight season at Barca. He has scored 97 goals in 305 appearances
since his debut in 2007-2008 season.
