Former
Premier League star Nemanja Vidic is happy at inter Milan, according to his
agent Silvano Martina.
Silvano
Martina revealed in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport that his client is
happy in Italy and has two years left on his contract.
Nemanja
Vidic joined Inter Milan last summer on a free transfer after playing exceptional
seasons at Manchester United. However, the club United have been linked
reportedly with him in the past few months.
He
played 300 games for United in his nine years of stay at Old Trafford.
It
was also reported that he could leave Inter Milan in the summer window after having a struggling season but the agent confirmed that his client will
not leave the club even if Manchester United want to resign him. United were
not in a mood to let him go last summer and kept asking him to return till
the winter window.
Silvano
Martina told Gazzetta dello Sport when asked about Vidic’s future: “I
think he should stay because he has another two years left on his contract. In
fact, I want to reveal something.”
The 33-year-old centre-back has played 16 Serie A games (Played 20 in all competitions) so far and boss Roberto Mancini is also happy with
the player.
Inter
are currently struggling in the league, they are sitting on 10th
spot in Serie A and are likely to miss out the European spot.
