Real
Madrid German star Sami Khedira has confirmed that he will not be a part of
Real Madrid next season, according to Guardian.
Sami
Khedira has already been suffering from ups and downs this season. He suffered
injuries in the start and then suffering with lack of playing time.
Khedira
will be out of contract this summer and the clubs are eyeing to sign him on a
free transfer.
The
27-year-old has featured more than 150 times for the Los Blancos since his move
from VfB Stuttgart in 2010.
Since
the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti at Santiago Bernabeu he has been struggling to
get time on the field. Countryman Toni Kroos has taken his place since his move
from Bayern Munich after the World Cup last summer. Luka Modric is also one of
the favourite midfielder of the Italian boss.
Youngster
Lucas Silva has also been preferred over Asier Illarramendi and Khedira by the
boss in the recent games.
Khedira
told Kicker that he is currently a
part of Real and has not committed to anyone. He is focusing on the coming
games. But added that he wants a new challenge.
“It’s
not a decision against Real Madrid. I want to start a new stage in my career
and continue to grow.”
