Arsenal
have suffered a big blow as the news revealed that their target Kamil Glik will
not leave Torino in the summer.
Metro
reported that Torino defender Kamil Glik has no plans to leave the Serie A side
in the summer window despite of strong interest from Premier League sides.
The
27-year-old centre-back had been in on Arsenal radar in the recent few weeks
after his impressive performances in the Italian league. Manchester
United, Newcastle United and West Ham were also keeping tabs on him.
The
Polishman has been a vital figure for Torino in both the major competitions
that is, Serie A and Europa League. He has scored six goals in 20 Serie A appearances.
Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger was keen to sign him in the summer but recently the player
has stated that he has no plans to leave.
Glik
told Tuttosport:
“I
recently told our sporting director Gianluca Petrachi that I am not going
anywhere,’ he said.”
He told that he has a contract of two more years and will think about his future in the summer.
