Chelsea
are planning to offload veteran goalkeeper Petr Cech in the summer for a fee around
£20 million, as per several reports.
The
London side’s goalkeeper Cech has fallen out of favour this season due to the return
of Thibaut Courtois from Atletico Madrid. The Spaniard is displaying impressive
football and has maintained his place in the goal.
Cech has started only four Premier League games this season.
Cech
has been eyed by local side Arsenal and Liverpool. While Serie A outfit Roma
are also keeping tabs on him for the summer move.
The
boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly told Cech that he can look for his next club
as he has no place for him in the starting eleven. But Blues are eyeing to get £20 million for the 32-year-old stopper and will not
sell him for less than the price tag.
Cech
has several years left to play at top level. He is only 32 and can easily play 5
to 5 years.
Cech has made more than 450 appearances for Chelsea since his move from Rennes in 2004.
The Daily Mail reported that a departure means a new goalkeeper could be on his way to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
