Arsenal
are keeping strong tabs on Schalke midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng,
according to Metro reports.
The
Metro reported that the German born midfielder will be allowed to leave the
Bundesliga side at the end of the season. His current contract will expire in
next year’s summer.
Arsene
Wenger is planning for a £10millon bid for the former Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder.
Reports also claimed that Schalke will accept as little as £10millon offer for
the Ghanaian player.
Boateng
joined Schalke from AC Milan in 2013. He has made more than 50 appearances since
his move.
Meanwhile,
Serie A side Inter Milan are also planning to bring him back to Italy in the summer window.
Boateng
has failed to impress Schalke boss Roberto Di Matteo who is now planning to
offload him in the summer. The former Premier League midfielder has failed to score
in his last 16 games.
The
27-year-old is an experienced player and would be a great addition to Arsenal's squad. However, he would struggle at Emirates as so much competitions is
already there at Arsenal.
Boateng
has played for top clubs including, Spurs, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan. He has made more
than 200 appearances for them.
