Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger is set to beat Real Madrid for Valencia defender Jose Luis
Gaya before the deadline day ends later today.
The
reports revealed that the Arsenal manager is keen to land Valencia star Jose
Luis Gaya who is also being monitored by Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Real
Madrid are eyeing him as a replacement of Fabio Coentrao who is likely to leave
the club either today or in the summer.
While
Arsenal who already have Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal in their ranks are
still looking to add more depth in their squad.
The
19-year-old can also be used as a midfielder but his preferred position at Valencia
is left-back.
The
Daily Star claim that the Gunners are planning for a surprise move of £13.5million
which Arsene Wenger thinks that the amount is enough to beat the La Liga giants
Real Madrid.
Gaya
broke into the first team this season and since then he is a regular playing,
has made 19 La Liga appearances for the Spanish side.
Arsenal
have secured two signings so far, youngster Krystian Bielik and Gabriel
Paulista and are set to announce a late third move tonight.
