Manchester
United are hoping to secure the deal of Paris Saint-Germain centre-half
Marquinhos, as per several reports.
The
window has just a day left and Manchester United are yet to sign a defender.
With
reports linking United to several defenders in the recent weeks, The Sun added
another defender in their shortlist for the deadline day.
The
Sun reported that Marquinhos has been targeted strongly by Manchester United
boss Louis van Gaal.
Few
days ago it was reported that Manchester United will seal Aleksandar Dragovic deal
for £15million before the end of transfer window, but recent reports have not
updated on his status.
PSG
defender Marquinhos would cost around £35million and reports claimed that
United have offered them that amount yesterday.
Marquinhos
is not a regular player due to the presence of duo Brazilian Thiago Silva and David
Luiz. He has made 17 appearances for the Ligue one side in all competitions so
far this season.
The
20-year-old who is tipped to be a future star joined the French side from Roma
for a fee around £26million in 2013.
The
player is likely to leave the club as he sees a better future in England but PSG
would only allow him to leave if they sign a right replacement.
