Chuba Akpom is close on agreeing a long term new deal at Arsenal, as per Independent reports.
The Mirror further added that the player was linked with several sides for the January move, however he has now ended all the links as he eyes to pen a new deal at the Emirates.
Akpom current deal will expire at the end of the season and the new will keep him until the summer of 2019.
The teenager has not been given much opportunity but Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has given him assurance by saying that he is a part of his long term plans.
He has made total three appearances all from the bench, two in the Premier League. Recently, he got an opportunity in a league game against Aston Villa in which he won a penalty for the Gunners, scored by Santi Cazorla.
The reports claim that Feyenoord, Borussia Dortmund and FC Twente were interested in his move, Premier League side Liverpool also showed interest, however the 19-year-old will end this in the coming days after signing a new long term deal.
