Memphis
Depay is one of the most talented players who has been eyed by several top
sides for the summer move.
Manchester
City are set to enter the race for PSV winger Memphis Depay who has also been
targeted by Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Sun.
It
was reported few days ago that Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign the Dutchman
in the summer but Manchester City’s interest could give Spurs a blow in their pursuit.
The
21-year-old has been a top target for these English sides, he has been compared
with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The
Dutchman has been impressive for Eredivisie side so far this season. He has
netted 15 goals in 19 league appearances. He also has three
goals to his name in five Europa League appearances.
Manchester
City boss Manuel Pellegrini is eyeing him as a replacement of Jesus Navas who
is set to leave Etihad Stadium at the end of the season.
Meanwhile,
Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is hoping to sign him as he is confident
that his relation with the player will play a fine role in his move. Van
Gaal has worked with him while he was managing Netherlands in the World Cup.
