Arsenal
have been targeting Valencia full-back Jose Gaya for the past few months,
according to several reports.
Arsenal could suffer a big blow as reports revealed earlier today that the teenager is likely to stay in the summer.
Spanish media AS reported that Gaya’s release clause is €18 million on his current contract at Valencia.

Arsenal
who have already several Spanish starts in their squad are eyeing to wrap
another deal in the summer, however the player is set to stay, as per Valencia
boss Nuno.
Real Madrid have also been keeping tabs on the player who is currently having an
impressive season.
Valencia
manager Nuno told AS that Gaya is focusing on Valencia, he is happy and has no plans
to leave.
“All of the players who are in the
process of renewing terms are focused on the work we’re doing and are happy
here at Valencia.”
Nuno
further added indirectly that Gaya is likely to be offered a new deal and he is
confident that he will sign it.
“They’re putting their body and soul
into a project which is growing and requires the help of everyone at the club.”
Valecina
have always produced fine full-backs, Jordi Alba is one of its example who is
now a regular for Barcelona. Gaya who has started 21 La Liga games so far this
season is tipped to be the next star full-back.
The
19-year-old played a great part in yesterday’s La Liga game against Cordoba.
