La
Liga side Atlético Madrid have reportedly agreed a deal for Arsenal star player
Santi Cazorla as per Spanish radio Cadena Cope.
Santi
Cazorla has been linked once again with a move away from Arsenal despite of
having a fine start to his New Year.
Atlético Madrid showed the interest in the playmaker in the first half of the season
when he was struggling at the Emirates Stadium.
Cazorla
has been a vital player since the start of New Year. He has been playing in his
favourite central role behind the striker. He has scored two goals and assisted
four times this year.
Alexis
Sanchez who was Arsenal talisman earlier this season had an injury which gave
Cazorla a vital a chance to take his role and become a top player once again.
Guardian
reported Cazorla could be on his way to his homeland this summer with Atlético
keen to land him.
The
31-year-old joined Arsenal from Malaga in 2012. He has made more than 100
appearances for the Gunners since his move.
Currently, Cazorla is helping Arsenal in their race for the top four spot. While, The Gunners will face AS Monaco in the Champions League round of 16 later this month.
