Arsenal
are considering a move for Juventus striker Fernando Llorente in the summer, as
per Metro reports.
Arsenal
were linked with the Spanish striker prior to his move to Juventus from Athletic
Bilbao back in 2013.
The
29-year-old has been a regular player for the Serie A giants but is not at his
best this season, he has only scored four goals in 20 Serie A appearances so
far this term.
With
the summer signing of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, Llorente in likely to
leave Turin at the end of the season.
The
reports revealed earlier today that the Gunners are keeping strong tabs on the
6foot 5in striker. The Gunners are planning to offer him £63,000-a-week
wages.
Arsenal
current striking options include Olivier Giroud who has not been impressive,
while summer signing Danny Welbeck is also yet to make a fine name in the new
red jersey.
The North London side have not signed any goal machine since the departure of Robin van Persie to
Manchester United. They have been struggling in front of goals, however the
attacking players including Santi Cazorla and Alexis Sanchez are more effective
than the strikers.
