Arsenal
star Santi Cazorla will not leave the club in the summer, according to manager Arsene
Wenger.
The
statements from Arsenal boss has given relief to the supporters as Cazorla has
been a top performer for Arsenal this year.
Cazorla
who struggled in the start of the season has finally cemented his spot in the starting eleven with his impressive displays. He has netted six goals in his last 13 games
while making ten assists since the beginning of the season.
The
30-year-old playmaker joined Arsenal from Malaga few years ago, recently he has
been linked with a move back to his homeland with Atletico Madrid chasing him
strongly.
But
the latest reports from Metro has revealed that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
has ruled out a move for the Spanish attacker.
The
Frenchman added in his pre-match press conference that he is expecting Cazorla
to stay at the Emirates despite of strong rumoured links.
Cazorla
signed a new deal last year and he should not have any problems here at the
Emirates, according to Wenger.
The
boss denied all the links by saying that they have not been approached by any club
for his move.
“The suggestion is only a suggestion;
we have never been approached by anybody.”
Cazorla
has made 130 appearances since his arrival at the Emirates from La Liga side Malaga.
