Tottenham
Hotspurs are ready to sign West Ham United defender Winston Reid on £60000-a-week
as the player will be out of contract at the end of the season.
Daily Telegraph reported
that the London side are set to seal the deal but not this month as they are
willing to sign a pre-contract for next season.
Arsenal
have also been linked with Reid this month with a £3million move, however
nothing have been updated between their links.
Spurs
who are planning to sign him on a free transfer could lose this deal because many
sides are interested in his deal including the Gunners.
West
Ham boss Sam Allardyce has also told that he will be moving as the New Zealand captain
has turned down to sign a contract extension at Upton Park.
The
26-year-old signed for the Hammers from FC Midtjulland in the summer of 2010
since then he has been a superb player for them. He is a regular player, making 20 appearances in the Premier League so far this season.
With
Spurs linked with him, the Gunners will have to take some step before they sign
him. Reid has also been targeted by several sides including Liverpool,
Manchester United and Everton.
