Mainz
forward Shinji Okazaki is likely to join Premier League side Leicester City as
reports claim that both the sides have started discussion over the possible
move.
Sky Sports
revealed earlier today that both the sides were in talks over the possible move
of attacker Shinji Okazaki from German side Mainz to English outfit Leicester
City.
The
28-year-old striker has been superb for the German side, he has netted 23 goals
in 49 games for the Bundesliga outfit since his move from VfB Stuttgart in
2013.
Mainz
are demanding £8million for their star man, however Leicester are not meeting
their demands. Reports have claimed that they have offered around £6million.
Okazaki
is an underrated player, he has also proved himself at international level,
scoring 41 in 85 games for Japan. He is currently on international duty for Asian
Cup in Australia.
With
Sky sources further reporting that the English outfit are getting closer
despite of their less fee demands and the player is likely to join them this
month.
Leicester
have already sealed Andrej Kramaric deal from HNK Rijeka as FA endorsed their
application of work permit for the Croatian attacker few days ago. He is likely
to seal his move in the coming days.
