Greek
outfit Olympiacos are taking interest in Liverpool flop striker Mario Balotelli,
according to Italian reports.
Italian
media Tutto Mercato reported earlier today that Liverpool flop summer signing Mario
Balotelli could be heading to Greece to join Olympiacos this month.
Balotelli
joined Liverpool in the summer for a fee around £16million from AC Milan but the
striker is yet to find his first Premier League goal for Liverpool despite of
appearing 11 times so far in the league. Intotal, he has scored only two
goals in 17 appearances.
With
Liverpool already eyeing a striker for the Winter Transfer Window, the
24-year-old could be on his way out. The
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has decided to offload him as he is not fitting into
his game style.
Olympiacos
are taking keen interest but its remain unsure whether they are eying him on a permeant
deal or on a loan.
The
Greek side are struggling in attacking areas and boss MÃchel is looking to
bolster his side with the signature of former AC Milan striker.
Balotelli’s
agent has also started searching for his client’s next destination and several
top sides including his former side Inter Milan are also interested in
bringing him back to his homeland.
