Premier
League side Manchester United are set to finalize the deal of former Barcelona
goalkeeper Victor Valdes as they have offered him a contract.
Manchester
United boss Louis van Gaal has offered him a one and a half year deal and it is
likely that Valdes will accept this offer.
The
Spanish stopper Valdes has been in link with the Red Devils since the summer
but due to his injury problems Louis van Gaal delayed the deal. He suffered cruciate
ligament injury earlier in 2014 before being released by Barcelona at the end
of the last season.
Now
the reports have revealed that the English side will finally seal his move. Valdes also trained with Manchester United few months ago.
The
32-year-old is a free agent since his exit from Barcelona. He played 12 seasons
and won several trophies including La Liga and Champions League at the Camp
Nou.
Spanish
media Mundo Deportivo claimed that the goalkeeper is now set to seal his move
after remaining sidelined for almost eight months.
Serie
A side Juventus and Ligue One outfit Monaco are also interested in his
services.
It
seems too be first winter signing for The Red Devils. Valdes will be used as a
back up keeper.
