Manchester
United manager Louis van Gaal is keen to sign Everton right-back Seamus Coleman,
according to the Metro reports.
The
Metro revealed that the Old Trafford side are willing to offer £20million for
best Premier League right-back of last season.
Manchester United boss Van
Gaal is determined to add more strength in his side with some new faces this month.
The Transfer Window is already up and running now.
The
Guardian also reported that Coleman is one of the top target of Van Gaal after
his impressive displays for Everton.
LVG
is eyeing him for this month but the reports have also suggested that Everton
will not sell him in January, they could make their mind in the summer if the right
offer comes.
While Rafael
has returned but Dutch manager is still not satisfied with the right-back role.
Coleman is a great defender, he is an attacking full-back which can also be
used as a wing-back in Van Gaal’s 3-5-2 formation. The 26-year-old has scored three goals this season for the Merseyside Blues.
Van
Gaal added on Rafael after leaving him out of the squad against Liverpool last
month that he was fit but LVG selected on merit.
At the moment, either Phil
Jones or Antonia Valencia play at that role depending on the formation.
