Aston
Villa boss Paul Lambert is confident that the deal for Manchester City winger Scott
Sinclair can still be done.
Scott
Sinclair has been on Aston Villa’s radar since the start of the transfer
window. The boss Paul Lambert has been keen to land the struggling City player.
SkySports
revealed earlier today that the deal is likely to happen in the coming hours.
Sinclair
joined Manchester City from Swansea City in 2012, however he has been
struggling in getting playing time since the move. Last
season, he was loaned to West Bromwich Albion where he only made eight Premier League
appearances.
The
former Chelsea attacker has made only four appearance this season for Manchester
City in all competitions.
Villa
are likely to take him on a loan move while the Citizens are planning to
offload him for £3.5million on a permanent deal.
However,
the Villains are not ready for a permanent move right now but would take him in
the summer.
It
is believed that the discussion between the two English outfits are going to
end soon as they player will be moving to the Villa Park.
The
deal is likely to be finalised before the Premier League clash between Aston Villa and Arsenal
on Sunday.
