Defending
Premier League Champions Manchester City are targeting Aston Villa striker
Christian Benteke, according to the Sun.
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is eyeing a striker his month. The boss has already suffering
with striker problems, duo strikers Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko both are out
with their injuries.
The
City boss also played without a proper striker in the few games last month when
Stevan Jovetic was also out. However, he has returned and is now playing.
The
reports claimed earlier today that City are weighing up a move for the Belgian
striker Christian Benteke who is having a struggling season at Villa Park.
A
drop in Belgian’s form has been seen since his return from the injury in
2013-2014 season. He has scored only two goals in 11 appearances so far in the Premier League this term.
The
24-year-old is still capable of producing goals. His first
season at Villa Park was exceptional and he could revive if he gets a chance in
a better club.
The
Citizens have also eyed Swansea City striker Wilfired Bony who could be on his
way out this month, according to Telegraph. Spanish giants Real Madrid are also interested in his move.
