Manchester
United boss Louis van Gaal has shortlisted another centre-back Raphael Varane for
this window, according to Daily Telegraph.
The Red Devils have set their eyes on another centre-back and reports revealing that
Louis van Gaal will be making a bid of Raphael Varane in the next couple of
days.
The
21-year-old has been out of favour this season, has made only 8 appearances
in La Liga so far for the Los Blancos.
United
have not signed a fine quality centre-back after the departure of Rio Ferdinand
and Nemanja Vidic before the start of the season. Also,
it was reported that United could bring Vidic back after his struggling
season in Italy with Inter Milan.
While London
duo Chelsea and Arsenal are also in link with Varane but Manchester United are
in front of the queue and will be launching a bid, according to Spanish media
Marca.
Marca
reported that Real Madrid will sell him for £19million despite of rating him at
£30million in the past.
The
Italian centre-back would also be eyeing a move for regular football with Real
boss Carlo Ancelotti giving preference to Pepe and Sergio Ramos in the central defence.
Varane
is a talented player and deserves regular football, it would be a great move
for United.
