London
side Chelsea target Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets in the recent weeks,
as per several reports. But the recent news from Daily Star claimed that the Spanish
midfielder is set to commit a long term future at Camp Nou.
Chelsea
are still in talks for him with reports claiming a big bid is on the way for
the 26-year-old.
Busquets
has been a vital asset for the Catalans for the past few years. The Spanaird
was developed under manager Pep Guardiola who is currently managing German
giants Bayern Munich. Busquets became the regular player after the departure of
Yaya Toure to Manchester City in 2010.
The
World Cup winner was linked with Chelsea in the recent weeks, however he has no
plans to leave Camp Nou as Barca started contract extensions talks, according to
Daily Star.
The
La Liga giants are unable to sign any player this month which means they would
not sell any of their key players this month. If they sell Busquets then they
could be having serious problems in the midfield role.
Barcelona
are currently playing in all competitions Copa del Rey, La Liga and Champions
League, losing their star midfielder could cause some serious troubles.
