Liverpool
boss Brendan Rodgers is eyeing Arsenal starlet Chuba Akpom, as per the Independent
reports.
Liverpool
are yet to bring any new face this month despite of the poor performances, especially in
the first half of the season.
Reports
have linked the Reds with several big names including Real Madrid striker Karim
Benzema, however they are still considered as rumours.
Rodgers
have also targeted several youngster with the recent reports linking him with
Arsenal teenager Chuba Akpom.
Chuba
Akpom has not started a Premier League game for Arsenal so far, but is
confident to get a call for the starting line-up. He has only featured once
from the bench in the Premier League.
The
Metro further claimed that the England under-20 is strongly targeted by
Liverpool for this month.
Meanwhile,
Arsenal are also planning to offer the 19-year-old a new improved contract
extension.
Liverpool
are in need of an experienced forward, however his move would be good for
future but at the moment Liverpool have to focus on their current form.
Rodgers
already called Jordan Ibe from his loan spell earlier this month and Daniel Sturrdige has also returned
which is a good news.
