According
to Daily Star, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has decided not to bring Divock
Origi back from his loan sell at Lille.
The
Belgium International’s World Cup journey was quite an impressive one and this
is the reason why he came into spotlight. Rodgers bought Origi in £10million
but sent him on loan to French outfit Lille.
This
month, there were discussions to bring Divock Origi back to Anfield but
Liverpool’s boss has now decided to show his faith and trust in his current
strikers.
Daniel
Sturridge is also back in training after his thigh injury which caused him to
miss most of the matches this season. The victory on Saturday against Aston
Villa also boosted up their confidence. Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert both
scored in that match.
Origi
was ready to move to Liverpool this month and a premium fee was also agreed
with Lilli to shorten his loan period.
But
this didn’t happen because Rodgers recalled Jordan Ibe from his loan spell at
Derby County. Sturridge’s recovery from his thigh injury is also a positive
sign for the Reds which is also one of the reason why Rodgers decided to wait
till the end of this season but after that he will surely call Origi back to Anfield.
