Bayern
Munich have a successful run since 2012-13 when Pep Guardiola took the charge
of the German Giant, but still the club hasn’t decided yet to increase the
contract of Guardiola.
Karl-Heinz
Rummenigge, the Bayern Munich chairman said that the Bundesliga club are in no
hurry to extend coach Pep Guardiola's contract as there are still 18 months
left on his current contract.
In
his first year in charge, Guardiola guided the team to success in many
competitions such as Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club
World Cup.
Bayern
are looking to increase their trophies this season and they are looking to
again snatch the Bundesliga title.
Despite
all those achievements, Rummenigge is willing to be patient. He said that he
hasn’t talked to Guardiola about his contract and he also has no intentions.
The
59-year-old told Spanish newspaper Ara and said that still there are 18 months
left but we will surely talk about his contract at the end of 2015.
He
further said that Guardiola can stay here at Allianz Arena as long as he wants.
He isn’t that type of person who will need surety or he will need a five-year
contract.
He
also said that he is a fascinating coach and he will surely lead Bayern Munich
to more success.
