Arsenal’s
boss Arsene Wenger is not happy from his defence line. Bad form and injuries
are main reason of concern for Wenger this season. The Frenchman is willing to
add some depth in his squad with new faces.
It
is mid of January already and Arsenal haven’t make a big transfer move yet.
Although Wenger is very concerned about his defence line but still he hasn’t
sign a player uptil now. But rumours exist that Wenger is lining up a bid for Espanyol central defender Hector Moreno.
Moreno,
the Mexican defender is in the target list of Tottenham and Manchester United
too. Wenger hopes to get the defender before his competitors.
Moreno
is the integral part of his side Espanyol for the past four years and has shown
his talent and class. Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has high praise for him
and also named him the player of the season in 2011.
Arsenal
are struggling this season majorly because of their defense. Mathieu Debuchy is
also out for 3 months with a shoulder injury. Per Mertesacker is also not
having a great season so far and Laurent Koscienly is also facing injury issues.
Calum Chambers and Nacho Monreal are the only back up left for Arsene Wenger.
Wenger
is looking to get of this tough situation by signing players and Moreno is one of them.
La Liga side Espanyol have put €6million price tag for the centre-back and Wenger is pretty sure that he will get his man.
