Arsenal
are likely to seal the agreement for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin today but the player will move in the summer, according to Express.
The Gunners have been eyeing several defensive midfielders but no deal was concluded.
Newcastle
United midfielder Moussa Sissoko was strongly targeted by Arsenal but he is
also likely to stay at James Park with reports revealing that boss John Carver
is keen to keep him.
Southampton
midfielder Schneiderlin has been a long term target of Arsenal boss Arsene
Wenger, he has been eyeing him since the summer.
The
French midfielder has also desired for a move to the Emirates. Meanwhile, another
London side Tottenham Hotspur have always been in the race for him.
The
£15million star is now likely to be joining the Gunners at the end of the
season but for now the French boss will have to face the same midfield issues
which he has been facing since the start of the season.
Express
reported that Arsenal are ready to secure his move but the Saints are desperate
to keep him despite of knowing his desire of Champions League football.
Earlier
this month, Express claimed that he fee has been agreed and the player will be
moving to the North London side.
