Arsenal
have been unlucky with injuries this season and their luck got worse this week
as recent reports confirmed that Matteiu Debuchy and Mikel Arteta are out for a
long time but Kieran Gibbs is likely to be back tomorrow.
Right-back
Matteiu Debuchy dislocated his shoulder against Stoke City on Sunday when he
fell awkwardly on it, and had to undergo surgery. He is now ruled out for three
months due to the injury.
Midfielder
Mikel Arteta is also sidelined for three months after undergoing surgery on his
left ankle. His ankle had been causing him discomfort for quite a while and
also affected the performance of his calf muscles. He is in rehabilitation
period which will take approximately three months.
While
left-back Kieran Gibbs will rejoin the Arsenal squad on Friday and his level of
fitness will be analyzed before deciding whether he will take part in the clash
against the reigning champions Manchester City or not.
Summer
signing Danny Welbeck could return this week but the reports still say that he
is suffering pain in his hamstring which sidelined him last week against Stoke.
