Arsenal
have joined Liverpool in the race to sign Lazio forward Keita Balde Diao, as
per Daily Star reports.
Keita
is one of the most highly-rated youngster in Serie A. He has been impressive since
his debut last season. He has scored 8 goals and assists 11 times in 44 games
so far for the Italian outfit.
The
teenager is likely to be moving away from Lazio as the club is eyeing to get
some funds for other expenditures.
The Gunners however will have to pay the €19million fee in order to secure
his services. While Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is also eyeing him.
With
Lukas Podolski set to seal Inter Milan loan deal, Arsenal have started keeping
tabs on Keita. Inter Milan are also keen to sign Keita, according to the Star.
The North London club are eyeing him as Podolski’s replacement. Keita is a versatile forward he can play in
every side but his favourite position is left forward.
The
19-year-old is similar to Mario Balotelli, his behaviour has been the major
reason which led Lazio to make a decision regarding his future.
He
came through the youth system of Barcelona but was kicked out due to the behavioural
issues.
