Arsene
Wenger is considering to buy Genoa’s Goalkeeper Mattia Perin as a replacement of
first choice keeper Wojciech Szczesny.
Reports
say that the relation between Szczesny and Wenger is not that good and the
recent incident before Stoke City’s match somehow proved this rumour.
The
French boss preferred David Ospina over Szczesny in their fixture with Stoke
City last weekend. This resulted in unrest between Wenger and Szczesny as the
Polishman was very furious with Wenger’s decision.
Szczesny’s
smoking incident in the shower of the dressing room after a bad game against Southampton
and his current bad form has put a question mark on his future at Emirates.
This
has led Wenger to look up on Perin as a potential replacement of Szczesny.
The
22-year-old has shown his talent in Seria A and has kept clean sheets against
Juventus and AC Milan this season. He has overall five clean sheets this
season.
Apart
from this he has impressively made 61 saves so far this term. He has
established himself as the first choice goal-keeper in Genoa.
Wenger
gave Szczesny the chance to prove himself and regain his first team place but
he failed significantly. Perin’s arrival could clearly hints Szczesny departure
from the London side.
