Arsenal
manager Arsene Wenger has denied the rumours linking the Gunners with Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco.
Reports
have strongly linked the North London side with the Real Madrid star Isco in the past few days. It
has been rumoured that Arsenal were planning for a club record move.
The
Los Blancos, however, could sell him for the right price with already having
exceptional attacking players.
Isco
moved to Real Madrid from Malaga in summer 2013. The Spanish giants signed him
for €30million and the rumours linked Arsenal with a €60million move.
The
22-year-old has scored three and assisted five in 20 appearances so far for
Real Madrid in all competitions.
Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger cleared all the rumours by saying that Arsenal are not in
need of an attacker.
The
Frenchman told: “No, we are not on [Isco's] case.”
Arsenal
are struggling the defence this season and are looking to strength their defensive
areas.
Wenger further added: “We have plenty of creative players. We are shorter on the defensive side of our game, not on the offensive side. We have plenty of offensive players.”
Wenger further added: “We have plenty of creative players. We are shorter on the defensive side of our game, not on the offensive side. We have plenty of offensive players.”
Arsenal
are already linked with several defensive players and Wenger has aslo told that
he will sign a defensive player this month.
“We
just spoke about Podolski who just went out, we spoke about Sanogo going out
because we have so many offensive players that they don't get a chance to play.
So we won't buy someone else in the attack.”
Wenger
told he has enough attacking players that he now sending his players on loan. Yaya
Sanogo is likely to leave this month on loan for regular football and German
forward Lukas Podolski has already signed a loan contract for the rest of the
season with Italian side Inter Milan.
