Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed the injury updates on his midfielder Jack Wilshere who is out with an ankle injury.
The
Gunners boss revealed that the Englishman could be on his way to the training
ground by the end of next week but remains doubtful for the other midfielders Alex
Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mikel Arteta.
Wilshere
suffered an injury in a game against Manchester United last November. Paddy
McNair’s challenged was enough to sideline him for several months.
Mirror
reported that, Wilshere is expected to be back before his predicted time. And
according to Wenger, he is likely to be back in ten days.
Fellow
midfielder Mikel Arteta who signed a one year contract extension has been out
since long, he has made only seven Premier League appearances and is expected
to back in April.
Meanwhile,
Oxlade-Chamberlain returned to the lineup earlier this month but sustained
another injury recently. He suffered a groin and pelvis problems and is out for
few weeks.
For
Danny Welbeck, the French boss gave good news that he will be returning next week. The former Manchester United striker has been out since the start of the
month through a thigh injury which he suffered against West Ham United.
The
Frenchman told the Arsenal.com: “They are
not completely there yet but they are not far. Jack should join in normal
training in 10 days. Welbeck on Monday. That’s where we are at the moment. Arteta
a bit longer.”
