Inter Milan last week, from TalkSports.

Shaqiri joined Inter Milan last week from Bayern Munich after spending years on
the bench.
The
Switzerland international was strongly targeted by Premier League outfits Liverpool
and Stoke City, even many top sides from Europe were interested in his services
but he decided to join Inter Milan.
Shaqiri
said: “When I decided to leave Bayern, my
brother (and agent) looked around, Juventus was one of the
possibilities, but in the end Inter for me was the best solution.”
Juventus
were also linked with him, however their interest was not too strong in Shaqiri
which resulted in Inter move.
He
futher added: “I had other offers from
England and Germany, I spoke with (Inter boss, Roberto) Mancini and after
hearing him and after he explained the project that concerned me, for me the
choice was clear.”
The
Swiss winger was impressed by Inter boss Roberto Mancini which led him to accept Inter offer. He did not even met the other sides including Liverpool
and was happy with the offers and plans of Inter Milan.
“The very first thing that struck me
was the fans at the airport, an emotion that I will remember forever. Now I cannot
wait to take to the field.”
The
Italian giants’ fans were also the reason because when he landed at the airport
it was the emotions of the fans that took his heart towards the San Siro
outfit.
Inter
Milan are struggling in Serie A, currently on 9th spot
with 25 points in 18 games. The
23-year-old who started only three games for Bayern Munich this season could give a vital boost to Inter.
