Real
Madrid veteran defender Sergio Ramos has hinted a move to Premier League as he
says that he is seeing himself in the English League in the near future.
Sergio
Ramos hinted a move to Premier League after being frustrated once again with
the referee in La Liga. Ramos' tackle on Raul Garcia gave Atletico Madrid a
penalty in the first leg of Spanish Copa del Rey.
The
Spaniard told Spanish media AS after the clash: “I’m not going to talk about controversial issues and certainly not
that incident.”
Ramos
has clearly alerted the Premier League top sides on alert after making the
following comments.
“The only thing I will say is that
with every passing day I prefer the English Premier League.”
Ramos
criticized the referee’s decisions indirectly and told that he feels frustrated
in La Liga.
He
further added: “What am I talking about?
Obviously not the ball- boys. The style of play, the refereeing. People enjoy
watching that competition. When you lose it’s easy to focus on the refereeing
decisions.”
Arsenal
who are in need of a fine defender have been in link with Ramos. While
Manchester United and Chelsea will surely consider him after his comments.
With
the signature of the Spaniard, the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will not be
having the worries he has been facing since the start of the season. The 28-year-old
has a wide experience as he has been playing for Madrid since his €27million move
from Sevilla in 2005.
Ramos
can be used as a right-back or a centre-back. He can build great partnership
with either of Per Mertesacker or Laurent Koscielny in the centre of defence at Emirates Stadium.
