Manchester City attacker Samir Nasri could be facing a month away from first team action as reports revealed that he suffered a calf injury.
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has also confirmed that he will not take part in
this weekend’s clash against his former side Arsenal. He is also likely to miss
the game against Premier League leaders Chelsea on 31st January.
Samir
Nasri suffered a calf injury in a training session earlier this week. His
injury is expected to be recovered in a month which is a big blow for the Citizens.
A positive news is that star
striker Sergio Aguero has returned and could take some part but new signing Wilfired
Bony is currently on international duty for Africa Cup of Nations along with
star midfielder Yaya Toure who is also unavailable with the same reason.
Pellegrini said regarding Nasri that he could take
atleast three weeks when asked by the reporters.
“Around three weeks or a month. Before that
(playing) is difficult.”
Boss
confirmed that he will be back around after a month to first team action.
The
Chilean boss Pellegrini has also good news as captain Vincent Kompany and striker Edin Dzeko have returned from their respective injuries and are
likely to take an important role against the Gunners.
