Athletic Bilbao and Inter Milan are now fighting in front of the queue for Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi, as per Talksport.
Real Madrid signed Asier Illarramendi from Real Sociedad for a fee around £25million which became the most expensive Spanish signing in the history of Real Madrid.
Premier League duo Liverpool and Arsenal are also interested in his move this month. The Reds are seeing him as Steven Gerrard’s replacement who will be leaving Anfield at the end of the season.
While Talksport further reported that the English outfits have fallen behind in the race to sign the Spanish midfielder. Bilbao are likely to seal a loan deal.
Liverpool and Arsenal both should take a decision quickly else they will miss him out with reports strongly linking the former Real Sociedad star to Bilbao.
The 24-year-old is not a regular player for Madrid. He is eyeing a move for regular football which could easily be offered at the interested parties.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are also considering to offload him as they are eyeing to land Lucas Silva.The Los Blancos have been in link with the Brazilian attacker since long, as per the reports. Arsenal who were also interested in his move have also taken a step back.
