Arsenal
are set to announce their first winter signing of defensive midfielder Krystian
Bielik after a long wait, as per Guardian reports.
Polish side Legia Warsaw have agreed a deal with the Gunners for their highly-rated starlet.
As
per Polish website Przeglad Sportowy, the deal has been agreed and soon the player
will be heading to London for a medical and for the personal terms.
Arsene
Wenger recent bid which was accepted by the Polish club is around £2.4 million,
which is the third bid in the past three weeks. The Polish outfit rejected
Aresnal’s two previous bid with a reason of low fee offer, however they have
now agreed on the third bid.
The
17-year-old defensive midfielder is compared with the likes of Arsenal legend Patrick
Vieira. The teenager is hoping to be one of the top players for the north London
side.
Bielik
himself admitted last week that he would love to join the Gunners despite of
rumours linking him with German side Hamburg. He has decided to join them and
will not change the decision.
He
said: “I’ve made a decision [to join Arsenal] and I’m not going to change it.”
“I
am looking forward to an agreement between the heads of the clubs. I realise
that the negotiations may take some time.”
The
deal is likely tom complete next week.
