Valencia
have agreed to sign Benfica midfielder Enzo Perez according to Portuguese daily
newspaper Record.


The
reports have claimed that Valencia owner Peter Lim went to Lisbon to finalize
the deal for the Argentinean few days ago. Perez
will sign a long term deal in the coming transfer window for the La Liga side.
The
28-year-old has been impressive since his move to the Portuguese side. He has
netted 9 goals in 69 League games.
Perez
is expected to follow Rodrigo Moreno and Andre Gomes who both joined the
Spanish side in the past from Benfica.
The
Argentina international also played a part in the World Cup, he replaced Manchester
United star attacker Angel Di Maria three times in the tournament. Intotal, he
has made 15 appearances for Argentina.
Perez
has won Primeira Liga, Taça de Portugal, Taça da Liga and Supertaça Cândido de
Oliveira with Benfica. He also won the Primeira Liga Player of the Year award
last season.
Valencia
are currently sitting on fifth place with 25 points in 15 games. They are four
points behind the fourth placed side Sevilla. Recently, they failed to pick
three points in a La Liga game against Granada, the match ended as a draw.
