Premier
League side Sunderland are still eyeing Liverpool striker Fabio Borini despite
of failing in the summer, according to several reliable sources.
The Italian striker who played last season on loan at Sunderland did not move to the Black Cats permanently in the summer.
Sunderland
boss Gus Poyet believes that Champions League was the major factor that did not
let him leave the Anfield.
Borini
who rejected the deal from Sunderland was not even on the bench against Sunderland
on Saturday despite he was fully fit to play.
The
Italian striker has just got three Liverpool starts in all competition this
season.
According
to last week reports, Sunderland have ruled out the move for Borini in the
coming window, however, boss is still eyeing him for the future.
Poyet
told that he would love to have him but he did not know why the deal in the
summer failed to finalized. He thinks that it might be the Champions League which
he preferred over regular football.
While
Serie A side Inter Milan are also interested in his services and soon will be launching
an offer.
Borini
might now leave Liverpool as he has failed to prove himself. He has scored only
2 goals in 28 appearances since joining the Reds.
he should leave or else enjoy his bench! :D
