Arsenal
and Liverpool are ready to fight for Real Madrid full-back Fabio Coentrao who
is rated at £25million.
Fabio
Coentrao who joined Real Madrid from Benfica in 2011 for a fee around £23.5million
is unsettled at the club, according to reports in Spain (Marca).
Reports
have claimed that he is looking for a move in the coming transfer window which will
open next month.
Manchester
United went close on his signature in 2013 when David Moyes was the
manager. He almost signed the 26-year-old but failed in the end and new boss
Louis van Gaal brought teenager Luke Shaw from Southampton in the summer.
Liverpool
were already in link with him in the past but Arsenal are the new name to
be linked with the Portuguese man. However, Brendan Rodgers might not take
interest seriously as he signed Alberto Moreno from Sevilla
for a fee around £12 million in the summer.
The
Premier League sides are not only interested in his move, reports suggested
that Turkish club Besiktas and Serie A outfit AC Milan are also interested in
Coentrao.
Coentrao
has not been a regular player since his move to Madrid. Marcelo has already
occupied the left-back role. This season, Coentrao has made only four appearances
in La Liga.
