Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Alexis Sanchez and Laurent Koscielny will
not take part in tomorrow’s Champion League clash against Galatasaray.
The
boss has decided to give the rest to his two star names Alexis Sanchez and
Laurent Koscielny as Arsenal have already secured the spot for the knockout stage of the Champions League.
This
game is kind of a practice match as Turkish side Galatasaray cannot qualify
even if they win. The other spot is already secured by Borussia Dortmund who
will face RSC Anderlecht tomorrow.
Arsenal
can only secure the first spot if Dortmund lose against the Belgian side. Even
a draw for Dortmund will keep them at top because of the huge goal difference.
Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger said few players will not travel to Turkey, especially those
who have given a lot in the past few weeks, they need rest.
He
further added that Sanchez needs rest and Koscielny has recovered recently so he
should not be rushed for a such a game which will not give them something.
Arsenal
have been struggling this season in the Premier League. They lost to Stoke City
on the weekend but have secured the qualification for the knockout stage of
the Champions League.
