Manchester
City striker Sergio Aguero has expressed his desire to play alongside Lionel
Messi at Manchester City.
The
Barcelona star attacker Lionel Messi has been in link with a move away from
Spain and his international teammate Aguero is pushing him for a move to Premier League.
Aguero
told that he is going to convince his friend to join him at the Etihad Stadium. Messi
has stated several times in the past that he would love to end his footballing
career at Barcelona. But the four times Ballon d’Or winner is still unsure about his future.
Reports
have linked Chelsea and Manchester City with the world class player in the
recent weeks.
Aguero
who is currently Premier League top scorer has admitted that it would be a
pleasure to play alongside Lionel Messi at the club level too. It would be
difficult to convince him but he will try his best.
Aguero
told: “It's a tough ask. I'll try and convince him. You want the best players
to be playing in the Premier League. I'll certainly try and convince him.”
Messi
who is the top scorer in Champion League’s history has been playing for the Catalan
since 2004. He has scored 371 goals in 443 appearances and has won everything including
Champions League and La Liga titles.
Messi
might be thinking to leave Camp Nou now as Barcelona are now not the same like
they used to be, it would be good for him if he proves himself in the Premier League
too.
