Manchester
United boss Louis van Gaal has confirmed five names who will miss the coming
Premier League clash against Newcastle United on the Boxing Day.
Manchester United Dutch manager revealed midfielders Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera, both are out for this clash with their respective injuries.
However,
yesterday it was reported that Ander Herrera could return to action as he
posted on Instagram that a minor injury cost him the Aston Villa game last
weekend. But
LVG confirmed today that he will not be ready for the Magpies game but will
hopefully be back after it.
Trio
Defenders Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw and Chris Smalling are all set to miss this
game also.
The
boss is hoping Smalling to make a return but he might not rush him. The former Fulham
defender will have a test before the Newcastle game.
For
the two summer signings, they are still out with their injuries. Shaw is expected to
be back next month while Rojo could return from next week.
All
these players are likely to miss both the clash with the gap of two days. Newcastle
on Friday and Tottenham Hotspurs on Sunday. Herrera is the only player who
could be ready for the London visit, however, rest remains out and Smalling is
still a doubt.
