Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal signed Ander Herrera from Atheltic Bilbao but the midfielder was not enough to solve the midfield problems.

Currently, two central midfielder Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick who were injured few weeks ago have solved the problems. After their return, United are now way better as the two are displaying fine piece of football.

It was reported that midfielder Marouane Fellaini will be sold in the coming window after his failure in the Red Devil shirt. But the Belgian has been playing good for the past few games and his rumours are now all cleared. While for Michael Carrick, the Red Devils are planning to offer him a new deal.

Carrick has been vital for United in the past four consecutive Premier League wins. Reports have claimed that LVG will be offering him a one-year-new deal.

The 33-year-old joined United from Tottenham Hotspurs in 2006. He has played 359 games for the Red Devils since his move.

Since Daley Blind got injured, Carrick has taken his place in connecting the game through the midfield. He is just showing that he is still capable of playing regularly.

Also, United have been strongly linked with Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman and will reportedly try for him in the summer.
