Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has advised Liverpool to splash cash around £25million on Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony in January if they want to finish on a better place in the Premier League.
Liverpool should but Wilfried Bony, says Carragher

Wilfried Bony was linked with Liverpool and Arsenal in the summer, but Liverpool signed Mario Balotelli from AC Milan and Arsenal bought Danny Welbeck from Manchester United.

While now Manchester City are also eyeing him which is not the best news for Liverpool. The Ivorian will probably prefer the Citizens over Liverpool as Sergio Aguero is out and plus a Champions League campaign.

Carragher spoke after yesterday’s game between Swansea and Spurs that hope Liverpool sign him in January. And if Liverpool paid £16m for Balotelli then atleast £20m should be paid for Bony.

Bony who is the top scorer in Premier League in 2014 is a proven goal scorer and surely a vital asset that can give Liverpool the required boost in front of goal.

Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert have failed to fulfil the striker’s duty. And Daniel Sturridge has been out since August with several continuous injuries.

If boss Brendan Rodgers failed to sign any striker then it would be difficult for Liverpool to even get a Europa spot. While Liverpool cannot expect from Sturridge’s return as the Englishman has not played since long.
