Mario
Balotelli is still a great player despite of not fulfilling his duties at Liverpool, according to his former Inter Milan teammate Javier Zanetti.
Javier Zanetti played 19 seasons at Inter Milan and after retirement became the vice-president of Inter. The Argentinean believes that the Italian has still enough quality to be called as a great player.
Mario
Balotelli who moved to Liverpool from AC Milan in the summer has scored two
goals in 14 games but is yet to find his first goal in the Premier League. The
41-year-old believes that Balotelli will take time to settle at Liverpool.
The
reports have linked Balotelli with Serie A side Inter Milan for a January move.
The Anfield pressure could take him away just after a six months spell. Inter vice-president
Zanetti revealed that the club is yet to decide on Balotelli.
He
told “A Balotelli return? We all know Mario very well.”
Zanetti
further added: “In any case, after our game against Lazio (December 21) we will
hold meetings to see what we can do and what is needed in terms of the
(transfer) market.”
Inter
current boss Roberto Mancini has already expressed his desire to buy attackers
in January. And the Italian boss knows Balotelli very well as he has managed
him while they both were at the English side Manchester City.
A return to San Siro might prove to be good for the Italian but still he is in doubts for the future.
