Arsenal
are ready to spend in the coming transfer window according to the boss Arsene
Wenger. The
Frenchman claimed that he will splash money on the right players next month,
according to the Guardian.
Wenger
said: “I’m not scared to spend money. If you go out with me one night, you will
understand that.”
Daily
Telegraph reported that the Gunners who have a £20million budget this window would be
bringing a centre-back and a defensive midfielder.
The
North London side are hoping to seal their first deal of a centre-back. Reports
have linked the Gunners with Ipswich Town defender Tyrone Mings who is only
21-year-old and is expected to be like Calum Chambers.
Mings
has made 31 appearance for side Ipswich since his debut.
West
Ham United Winston Reid is also on Wenger’s radar as his contract expire at the
end of the season. Virgil van Dijk of Celtic and Ron Vlaar of Aston Villa were also
linked in the past few weeks.
Wenger
is eyeing to bolster his squad in the coming month so that he can fight for silverware.
They are currently on 7th spot in the Premier League and have to get atleast
the fourth spot for the Champions League campaign next season. Also, FA Cup
will from next month and Champions League knockout stages in
the mid of February.
