Arsenal
manager Arsene Wenger has reignited his interest in Sporting Lisbon midfielder
William Carvalho, as per Sunday Mail reports.
The
reports have revealed that Arsenal have reopened the doors for William Carvalho
after failing to find a solution for the midfield problems.
Arsenal
boss Arsene Wenger could not find a right midfielder who can solve midfield issues but now has finally set his eyes on Sporting midfielder Carvalho.
The
Portugal international was in strong link in the summer but failed to conclude
any deal, however he is still likely to move to the Premier League in January.
Chelsea
who were also interested in him are now eyeing other players which means the
Gunners can sign him easily if they are ready to splash €25million.
Arsenal trio midfielders, Aaron Ramsey, Mikel Arteta and Jack Wilshere all are still out
with their injuries and Carvalho has the quality to fill the gap made by them.
The
22-year-old is reportedly keen to leave Sporting as they are now not a part of
Champions League campaign.
The
1.87 meter tall defensive midfielder is very affective physically and can be a vital
asset for the Gunners.
While
Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has also reportedly accepted to sign contract
extension at Santiago Bernabeu despite of a struggling season.
