Arsenal
manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that six key players will miss this weekend’s
clash against Newcastle United. But Aaron Ramsey could return from hamstring
injury.

The
French boss has also hinted that Aaron Ramsey could be back for this clash if
he succeed in the late fitness test.
While
three defenders are missing for this clash Nacho Monreal, Calum Chambers and Laurent
Koscielny.
Wenger told Arsenal.com: “Our
main problems are still defensively because Laurent Koscielny looks like he will not be quite ready, Nacho Monreal (foot)
is not back and Calum Chambers is suspended.”
Koscielny
returned from his first injury few weeks ago and played for the Gunners but he suffered a calf injury against Southampton in the start of
December. The French centre-back was rested during the midweek Champions League
game but he failed to make the most of it. While Monreal has a foot injury and Calum
Chambers is suspended.
Wenger
further added: “Mikel Arteta (calf) is not ready and Theo Walcott (groin) is out. Aaron
Ramsey (hamstring) will be checked today and tomorrow, so we’ll see.”
Ramsey who scored a wonderful goal against
Galatasaray will be having a test on his hamstring injury before the match. But
Walcott is set to miss the game with his groin injury, he is expected to be
back next week.
Walcott
who has made only two appearances this season is recovering quickly and soon
will be seen on the field.
Also, skipper Mikel
Arteta is out with a calf injury along with English midfielder Jack Wilshere.
The
boss added on Jack Wilshere: “That’s completely wrong. He’s doing very well.
He’s on crutches so I don’t see how he can have a setback.”
